Top Ten Movies of 2008

7. Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I definitely liked this better the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The problem is that it was a majestic looking movie, based on a classic story with a mediocre screenplay.

6. Get Smart

As a huge fan of the TV Show, I'm always skeptical about movie versions. Get Smart falls in the middle. I liked it but it definitely is not the Get Smart I loved as a child.   Click Here to Purchase

5. Sex and the City

Welcome back, Carrie and company. A nice long episode of a great TV Show   Click Here to Purchase

4. The Happening

I hope this is the last M. Night surprise ending movies, because the gimmick is overdone. That said, I liked this movie. Even in it's most scary moments and I really don't like scary movies, I like what I was watching. I liked Mark Walberg's every man role. No super hero here.   Click Here to Purchase

3. Wall-E

Had to see this at home. Loved Wall-E the character, but felt the movie dragged a little in the second act.   Click Here to Purchase

2. Iron Man

Another comic book done right. I believe that if you embrace the essence of the comic book you'll have a good movie. In this case, it's the idea that a rich engineering genius has to overcome himself and accept the destiny he's given.   Click Here to Purchase

1. Batman: The Dark Night

With Heath Ledger's passing, the true greatness of this film may be tainted. This is truly one of the best comic book movies of all time.   Click Here to Purchase
